After learning about Adinkra symbols, the 2D Exploration class designed their own symbols to represent something about themselves. The people of Ghana carve their symbols out of calabash gourds, but the middle school students used linoleum cutters and carved their design into a material similar to an eraser (it's called a speedy carve block).  This is just a preview of the first round of prints. Stay tuned for the finished products! I'm so proud of them.
